Sand Bucket at Seaford

Another excellent trip to Seaford was enjoyed by 11 playing Ballbashers + Ashley who organised the whole trip but was sadly unable to participate. The food and golf course were great, The weather left a little to be desired but as Alan pointed out on Wednesday, it would n’t be a seaside course if the wind did n’t blow.

One particular champagne moment occurred on Day 1 when JohnS and RobA were playing with JohnT and myself. There are several footpaths which cross the course and when we reached one of these, an elderly man accompanied by an equally elderly West Highland White Terrier ambled slowly across the fairway. The man walked on head bowed but the dog took a close interest in us which he demonstrated by pee’ing all over the wheel of John and Rob’s buggy before also ambling on his way – I took it as a token of friendship.

We all enjoyed riding around in buggies for both days which is a definite sign of a slight fading in endurance which was also demonstrated by everyone going off to bed at 10:30pm on Tuesday evening as opposed to spending the next couple of hours trying to pot at least one red on the snooker table.

The results were very tight:
JohnT and Richard 40 + 35 = 75
JohnS and RobA 35 + 39 = 74
Mikes S & W and Bill 38 + 36 = 74
Nick and PeterR 35 + 35 = 70
Alan and Roger 35 + 35 = 70

NP in 2 balls went to:
Alan, Rob, MikeS, Richard and Roger
