Short of a report, I only know that a game was played and enjoyed by all. A post-game enquiry prompted by an innocent enquiry into some playing handicaps, which proved to be out-of-date, resulted in the team game no longer being a draw. I trust wholeheartedly in the Ballbasher Spirit and therefore know, without being present, that this enquiry would have been conducted with the highest degree of probity and that no rancour would have ensued, or toys thrown out of prams.
The team result thereby became:
RobertM/MikeS/JohnS: 35 + 30 = 65
Stuart/Alan/JohnT: 33 + 36 = 69
Please note that the occasion was marked by the return of MikeS for his first game after his hip op and he clearly played 18 holes and moreover he tied for victory with 29 points. Nothing much has changed in the 3 months he has been away – he is still leading the Master Golfer competition!
