Stardate: 3rd January 2024 – John S wins all 3 NP prizes
Playing at Sunningdale Heath in the Ice Bucket on very wet ground, JohnS put his tee shot to within 8 feet of the pin on all selected NP holes and thereby won all 3 prizes – a unique achievement.

It was during the Prosthetic Cup that Nick came to rest in the 1st cut of rough about 8 feet from a slim tree which stood directly in line with his approach to the green about 200 yards away. It should have been impossible for him to hit the tree but of course he did. Despite the resounding thwack, the ball arched gracefully up into the air back over Nick’s head coming to rest with the unlikely sound of a ball coming into contact with a golfing bag.
But that indeed was what had happened and Nick discovered his ball resting peacefully on top of his bag next door to the driver. Some discussion then ensued as to what the rules said when it came to hitting your own bag after hitting a tree – and the result was 1 penalty shot. Golf is unfair sometimes.
